As the credit crisis deepens banks are searching for board members with relevant experience and expertise to prevent another meltdown in the future, reports TheStreet.com. According to Rob Sloan, a consultant at Egon Zehnder International, New York, financial companies need directors with a “holistic view of the business.” This may have been lost to firms with experts in esoteric fields like structured finance serving on their boards, Sloan observes.
